User with a Dutch-language phone: Why is the app showing in English?

Modified on Mon, 8 Sep at 11:42 AM

The Vity app is currently available in Belgian Dutch (NL-BE).
If your phone is set to standard Dutch (NL), it might not recognize this version and will automatically switch to a fallback language, often English.

? Why does this happen?

Operating systems (Android or iOS) look for an exact language match.
Since the app is written in NL-BE, a phone set to NL (Netherlands) doesn’t find an exact match and defaults to English.

✅ How to see the app in Dutch?

To force the app to display in Belgian Dutch:

On iPhone (iOS):

1. Go to Settings > Apps > Vity.

2. Tap on Language.

3. Choose Nederlands (België).

On Android (if supported by your device):

1. Long press on the Vity app icon.

2. Tap the "i" button or App info.

3. Tap App language / Taal van de app.

4. Select Nederlands (België).

⚠️ If this option isn’t available, you can change your phone’s main language in the settings to Nederlands (België).
